My name is Valérie SILBERMANN, I'm 48 years old.
If I had to define myself, it would be as plastic or recycler artist.
Stained glass maker of formation (stained glass website), I gradually integrated in my creations other materials (scrap, leather, papers…).
Currently I assemble all kinds of elements recovered or harvested in the nature according to my peregrinations (old metals, fibers, seeds…), using several techniques, some old ones like spiral wickerwork, others more common (hook, sewing, welding…). I thus put in synergy different subjects to take anyone who wishes it to the heart of the story that tells each of my creations.
These materials which I put in resonance through my sculptures become the instruments of my symphonies.
Each of my creations is unique.
According to my feelings, I also have the possibility to create a work harmonizing the materials used and the person in demand of a creation.

« She was at hard school and tweaked the stained glass maker's technique. And then, little by little, her experience helping, she allowed herself to follow the path of her own inspiration. Out of a way of doing everything traced, she let express the talent she seems to carry in her for always.
Today Valérie has the feeling that "every job is a state of being, a story" and reflects an evolution. It draws a "frame of life" between past and future generations. The work of the artist sometimes seems to exceed her, forcing her by some alchemy, to modify her initial idea and to discover that she has been the vector of something that surpasses her. A feeling she would like to share because, according to her, "we all carry in us an artistic gift". »
